In partnership with the British Council’s protection cultural fund, arcenciel was able to build a dome house in its Taanayel center in the Bekaa, with the aim of capitalizing the know-how related to a traditional Syrian architectural technique that is in danger.
The experimental working site was followed by a publication of a book explaining the construction method of these dome houses in mud bricks and demonstrating the process related to this technique.
At this time in Syrian history, meanwhile the cultural heritage of Syria is destroyed or partially annihilated, it was necessary to ensure the protection of one of its most specific components
