    Social Bureau

    arcenciel’s mission is to support fragile groups and help them integrate into society.

     

    THE BUREAU’S MISSION

    The Social Bureau is the basis of arcenciel’s community work strategy. It welcomes people with difficulties, provides timely assistance for needs, and implements a long-term CBR (Community engagement Rehabilitation) plan to ensure their social autonomy.

    Its aim is to develop and improve Lebanon’s social policies by promoting and implementing effective and efficient social service provision.

    HOW IT WORKS

    People who are in vulnerable conditions and might have been referred to arcenciel can present themselves to the social bureau where they will be met  by a social worker to follow  up with them

    Through the initial interview, the Social Bureau ensures that each beneficiary voices their needs within a framework of respect and empathy. It is in that phase that the social worker links the beneficiary’s demands either to arcenciel’s services or to other institutional facilities, and provides necessary information regarding resources, rights, agency policies, procedures…

     

    LONG TERM GOALS

    Seen that arcenciel is a development NGO, it is very important that the social worker follows through with all the beneficiaries and establishes a long-term plan that aims to socially integrate people in difficulty and help them become independent from the organizations’ services.
