In Lebanon, there is limited support for children born with disabilities. Created in response to a need in the Bekaa region, arcenciel’s specialized classes began as a prototype.

THE TEACHING METHOD

The specialized classes create an environment that focuses on the development of each child through custom-made curricula.

Putting focus on artistic expression and learning through games, the classes provide a model for replication throughout the country.

Stress is heavily put on positive reinforcement and ways to leverage student’s individualized capabilities

Teaching towards each student’s strengths allows them to gain autonomy and confidence when confronted with societal prejudice against them.

When needed, arcenciel’s mobility program makes adaptions to school premises to allow our children with disability access to their school campus.

arcenciel follows through with students able to join formal education in conventional public or private schools.
