The project aims to promote access to inclusive and quality educational services for the Lebanese population and vulnerable refugees, with a specific focus on children with disabilities, through the rehabilitation and energy efficiency of school buildings; the implementation of retention support programs and early childhood educational services; the strengthening of capacity of community members; direct support to children with disabilities; and raising awareness of educating communities on the inclusion and protection of vulnerable groups.

The project is implemented by GVC-We World; Ana Aqra and arcenciel.

Within this project, arcenciel is implementing specific initiatives to support minors with disabilities for the acquisition of greater autonomy, with a holistic and community-based approach that also includes support for parents/guardians, as well as activities to strengthen the capacity of community members and local businesses.

Activities:

• Providing 30 children with disabilities from the communities with from individualized support programs aimed at strengthening their autonomy.
• Providing Training to community members on the inclusion of children with disabilities.
• Organize information and coordination sessions for parents of children with disabilities.
• Organize community-based artistic and recreational events to raise awareness of inclusive right to education of persons with disabilities.
