Project Description:

This project aims to work on a holistic approach to embed a culture of inclusion, through equipping job seekers with disability, with the necessary skills to enter today’s changing job market, as well as apprenticeship opportunities in local businesses. In turn, local businesses affected by the Beirut Blast will be supported by equipping them with best practices on inclusive strategies to implement in workplace, alongside of several tailored business development plans to ensure their revival after the explosion and the economic crisis that Lebanon is enduring. Besides providing financial aids, they will undergo physical assessment to become more inclusive.

Activities:

• Conducting an Intensive Training Program consisting for job seekers with disability
• Providing career coaching sessions for job seekers with disability
• Providing assistive technologies for Persons with Disability.
• Providing job seekers with disability with apprenticeship opportunities.
• Conducting gap assessment for the reasonable accommodation and adjustments of companies’ workplaces
• Offering SMEs affected by the blast with business development consultation services.
• Supporting affected SMEs with co-financing or in-kind contributions
• Granting “Disability Inclusion Training and Assessment Package” for SMEs
• Designing and implementing accessibility adjustments for the pre-selected SMEs
